Renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi, has unveiled far-reaching plans to replicate his business success and deepen social impact in Kwara State, with a strong focus on education, enterprise development, and philanthropy.

Dr. Alabi disclosed this during a recent visit to the University of Ilorin FM radio station, where he reflected on his journey and commitment to giving back to the society.

He revealed that his passion for philanthropy began early in his career, at a time when his monthly salary stood at just ₦1,400, a period that shaped his lifelong dedication to supporting others.

The founder of The Promise Fast Food, a leading hospitality brand in Nigeria’s South-South region and a major service provider in the Oil and Gas sector, said he plans to expand the brand’s operations to Kwara State.

As part of this initiative, Dr. Alabi disclosed plans to partner with the University of Ilorin to establish a Promise Fast Food outlet on campus, aimed at providing students with quality and affordable meals.

“Students actually need this, and at The Promise, we do nothing but good food,” he said.

Expressing deep affection for Kwara State, Dr. Alabi commended Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for laying what he described as a solid foundation for social and infrastructural development. He urged residents of the state to support and build upon the achievements of the current administration.

“I am bringing good times to Kwara because development is a collective responsibility. Nobody will do it for us,” he emphasised.

In a major announcement, Dr. Alabi revealed plans to establish Nigeria’s first tuition-free university for indigent students in Igbaja.

According to him, the proposed specialised institution will focus on Sports, Vocational Studies, and Entertainment, with the goal of producing skilled, employable, and industry-ready graduates.

He also lauded the management of the University of Ilorin for establishing a modern studio for the University FM radio station, describing the facility as a vital platform for grooming future media professionals and strengthening practical training in broadcasting.

Dr. Alabi’s vision, which blends enterprise expansion with educational access and community development, has been widely described as a bold and people-centred approach to sustainable development in Kwara State.
