Mr Feyisayo Ayeni, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria’s (SON) former Coordinator in Kwara, has tasked the organisation’s workforce to develop their capacity to enable effective service delivery.
Ayeni gave the charge on Thursday in Ilorin in his valedictory speech at a reception organised by members of the staffs of the organisation in his honour.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ayeni, who was recently elevated to Deputy Director, has been transferred to the organisation’s Training Department in Lagos State.
He thanked the members of staff in Kwara for their support to him, adding that his success as the state coordinator couldn’t have been achieved without their dedication and hard work.
Ayeni said that the Kwara SON office had produced three Coordinators and team leaders in other places, attributing this to hard work.
Earlier in her welcome address, Hajia Abiola Bayero, the Chief Standards Officer, Head of Unit, Food Codex, said that the Kwara SON office recorded remarkable growth under Feyisayo.
According to her, under the outgoing State Coordinator, a record number of 86 products were certified in Kwara, adding that this is worthy of celebration.
“Throughout his tenure, Mr Ayeni Feyisayo exemplified professionalism, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to quality assurance, standards enforcement, and consumer protection.
“His leadership fostered teamwork within the office and strengthened our relationship with stakeholders across Kwara State. These contributions and legacies deserve to be celebrated,” she said.
Also in his remarks, the new Kwara Coordinator of SON, Mr AbdulRazaq Oyewopo, commended Ayeni for his contribution towards development of the Organisation.
He described him as hard working who always strive towards ensuring that the mandate and policy thrust of the organisation were achieved. (NAN)
