Christmas Gifts: Cleric gives N50,000 cash to over 900 members in Kwara

The General Overseer of the House of Prayer Assembly, Basilica, Pastor (Dr.) Joseph Omorinoye, has donated cash gifts of Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000) each to over Nine Hundred members present in the church service on Sunday.

Omorinoye, during the church service announced his intention to support members with cash gifts for Christmas due to the economic hardship in the country.

According to him, the Birth of Jesus Christ is worth celebrating and every member deserves a special Christmas package.

” I will give out a token of N50,000 for every member present to celebrate Christmas.

” It is the birth of Jesus Christ we are talking about and everyone present deserves the special Christmas package.

” The economy is hard and I want to support members with the little within my capacity,” he said

He added that members deserved to be happy and not to be ignored to bear the Christmas burden alone .

 

 

The cleric , however, advised other Church founders to always care for their members by supporting them with a token.

He added that members welfare should be the priority of every cleric and general overseer.

One of the beneficiaries who spoke to Journalist, Mrs Foluke Alabi described the cash gift as timely and relieved to her family as Christmas celebration draws near.

” Baba Omorinoye has been kind and generous to members. We are not surprise because he has been doing it consistently and supporting members,” she said.

Another beneficiary, Mr Festus Owolabi said the cash gift means a lot to him.

” The cash gift mean more than a million naira to me. I have been thinking how to sort out some Christmas stuffs for the family.

” But I thank God for this special gift from Baba. May God bless Daddy G.O for us,” he said.

The HOPA members were delighted and in jubilation mood as they pocketed their gifts and walked home with shoulder up after service.
