The General Overseer of the House of Prayer Assembly, Basilica, Pastor (Dr.) Joseph Omorinoye has urged the public to unite and tackle insecurity, and stop attributing insecurity to religious crisis.
Omorinoye, gave the advice in Ilorin on Sunday while delivering a sermon titled ‘ Prayer for Protection’ from the book of Psalm 35:1-10).
He urged the public not to hate anyone irrespective of their religious differences, but to unite and end the menace.
According to him, many people have been brainwashed to see the insecurity as Muslim vs Christian crisis.
” This is not Christian vs Muslim crisis. They only want to divide us to cause tension so that they will have their way.
” Irrespective of our religious differences, let us unite and be prayerful. Don’t fight anyone all in the name of religion.
” The kidnappers don’t ask if you are a Christian or Muslim. They only demand for ransom. Let us unite and device solutions.
” The insecurity is going wild that we must quench the dangerous fire burning the country. We can only do that when we see ourselves as one,” he said.
The Pastor, however, prayed to God Almighty to fight the battle for Nigeria and scatter the enemy camp.
“Let destruction come upon the bandits, terrorists and evil doers camp tormenting the peace of Nigeria,” he echoed.
He, however, called on the public to be prayerful and cooperate with government security agents to see the end to the activities of the evil doers in the country.
