Dr. Yemisi Adeyeye, co-founder of Lifefount Foundation, while addressing participants at multiple stopovers, stressed the urgent need to strengthen entrepreneurial skills across Kwara State. She highlighted the significance of GEW in showcasing small businesses, youth-led ventures, and artisans to opportunities that can drive collaboration, innovation, and growth.

This year’s GEW Kwara theme focuses on Aso-Oke production, indigenous crafts, digital entrepreneurship, and creativity as a driver of economic growth, Dr. Adeyeye explained. She also announced that the Grand Finale will hold at 8:00 am on Saturday, November 22, at the Banquet Hall opposite the Government House.

The finale promises high-value seminars on Artificial Intelligence in business, Aso-Oke fashion, tax planning for 2026, access to finance, branding, and digital transformation.

Participants will also enjoy a trade fair, exhibitions, vendor showcases, and networking opportunities, equipping entrepreneurs with insights to grow their businesses.

Dr. Adeyeye expressed gratitude to the First Lady of Kwara State, Her Excellency Amb. Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, for her unwavering support for youth development, women empowerment, and enterprise growth, noting that her encouragement continues to inspire Lifefount Foundation’s initiatives.

The Kwara State Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Ndanusa Usman Shehu, who joined the walk, urged young people to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to financial independence and innovation, reflecting the state government’s commitment to youth-driven economic activities.

Also present, Alhaji Dare Abdulganiyu, State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), commended Lifefount Foundation for its grassroots engagement and pledged continued support for initiatives that promote civic responsibility and economic awareness among young Nigerians.

The Road Walk brought together representatives from the FRSC, Ministry of Education, Port Health Services, ROSOWA, paramilitary groups, secondary school students, registered vendors, and NOA staff, alongside civil society organisations and community members.

At key stops, including Post Office and Challenge, residents were sensitised in English, Yoruba, and other local dialects on the importance of entrepreneurship. IEC materials were distributed to encourage participation in GEW Kwara 2025 and to ensure the community taps into the opportunities the event offers.
