Eruku Church Attack: Names of 38 Kidnapped Victims Still in Kidnappers’ Den Revealed

Eruku town in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State is reeling in horror as the details of victims abducted during Tuesday night’s violent attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun, finally emerged.

The shocking details reveal a grim picture of an entire community held hostage with the youngest victim just 7 years old and the oldest aged 64. Even more disturbing, 30 of the 38 abductees are women.

To intensify the community’s agony, the bandits have reportedly demanded a staggering ₦100 million ransom per victim, a total of ₦3.8 billion.

Many of the victims had simply come for a mid-week prayer service, unaware that their peaceful worship would turn into a nightmare of gunfire, screams, and forced captivity.

The nation watches as Eruku stands at the edge of despair. But this incident not over. Not until the forest gives back its captives. Not until every mother embraces her child again.
