Ozioko Assumes Duty as New EFCC Zonal Director in Ilorin, Promises Stronger Fight Against Corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has appointed Commander CE Anselem Ozioko as the new Zonal Director for its Ilorin office, marking a new chapter in the Commission’s anti-corruption drive in Kwara and neighbouring states.
Ozioko officially took over on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, during a brief handover ceremony held at the EFCC Conference Room in GRA, Ilorin.
He succeeds Daniel Isei, who has been redeployed to the Commission’s Enugu Zonal Directorate.
In his farewell remarks, Isei expressed gratitude to God and the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, for the opportunity to serve in Ilorin, describing his experience as “fulfilling and enriching.”
He commended the staff of the Ilorin office for their dedication and teamwork, urging them to extend the same loyalty and cooperation to his successor.
“I thank the staff for their support and the synergy we shared in advancing the mandate of the Commission. I have no doubt that the new Zonal Director will build on the progress we’ve made,” Isei said.

In his response, Ozioko commended Isei for his leadership and contributions to the growth of the Ilorin Zonal Directorate.
He assured staff of his commitment to sustaining the Commission’s reputation for professionalism, teamwork, and excellence in the fight against corruption.
“I appreciate the management of the Commission for the confidence reposed in me. I look forward to working closely with all members of staff to achieve our collective goal of combating economic and financial crimes. Together, we shall take the Ilorin Zone to greater heights,” Ozioko stated.
A seasoned lawyer with over 30 years of experience, Ozioko has attended various professional training programmes in the United States, Paris, Botswana, and Ghana. Before his latest posting, he served as the Zonal Director of the EFCC Makurdi Office and has previously worked in the Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Ilorin Zonal Directorates as Head of Legal and Prosecution Department.
His appointment is expected to strengthen the EFCC’s anti-corruption efforts across Kwara, Kogi, and Ekiti states under the Ilorin Zone.
