Hon. Saba Distributes Relief Materials to Over 500 Flood, Bandit Victims in Constituency

 

The member representing Edu, Patigi, and Moro Federal Constituency of Kwara State, Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed Adamu Saba (Ajiyan Shonga), has distributed relief materials to over 500 residents affected by flood and bandit attacks in various communities within his constituency.

Speaking during the distribution exercise held in Patigi and Edu Local Government Areas, which was facilitated through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Hon. Saba said the initiative was aimed at alleviating the hardship faced by the victims of the recent disasters.

Represented by the Chairman of the Committee on Security and Flood, the Kobo of Patigi, Alhaji Yanda Baba Rani, the lawmaker assured constituents that more support would soon reach other affected persons.

He noted that, as a representative of the people, he has been working tirelessly with relevant stakeholders to ensure lasting solutions to the challenges of insecurity and flood incidents in the area.

 

 

Hon. Saba further explained that the federal and state governments have deployed additional security personnel to the affected communities to enhance safety and restore peace.

He reaffirmed his commitment to improving the living conditions of his constituents and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the relief materials for the benefit of their families.

The lawmaker also promised that more assistance would be provided to reach other members of the affected communities in due course.

Items distributed included rice, maize, salt, tomatoes, seasoning cubes, and vegetable oil, among others.
