Gov AbdulRazaq mourns death of prominent Omupo leader Alhaji Fatai Aremu

 

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is saddened by the death of a prominent Omupo son and philanthropist Alhaji Abdulfatai Aremu Balogun.

This is contained in a statement signed by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and made available to newsmen in Ilorin on Tuesday.

The Governor expresses his profound condolences to the family of the community leader who was a major backbone for the town over the years.

He also expresses solidarity with Oba Muhammed Yakubu Adebayo Buari, the Muslim community, as well as the Omupo Descendants Union (ODU) on the sad development.

Governor AbdulRazaq urges the community and the family to take solace in the good legacies of the deceased whom he asks Allaah to forgive and admit to al-jannah Firdaus.

The deceased had since been buried according to Islamic rites, while the fidau prayer was held on Tuesday at Omupo.
