Ajuloopin Condemns Idofin Attack, Urges United Front Against Insecurity
The member representing Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Raheem Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, has condemned the recent attack on Idofin Odo-Ashe community in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, describing it as a cowardly act aimed at destabilizing the peace of the area.
Ajuloopin, in a statement issued, expressed sadness over the incident and sympathized with the victims, their families, and the entire Idofin community.
He said violence of any form has no justification in a civilized society, calling on security agencies to intensify efforts to track down and prosecute those behind the attack.
While commending the prompt intervention of both the federal and Kwara State governments, as well as the swift response from security personnel and local vigilante groups, the lawmaker emphasized the need for collective action in addressing insecurity.
“Security is everyone’s business. We cannot afford to leave the safety of our communities solely to government agencies. Every citizen must be actively involved in safeguarding our environment and ensuring that peace prevails,” Ajuloopin stated.
He also appealed to traditional rulers, community leaders, and residents to remain alert and cooperate fully with security operatives by providing credible and timely information that could help prevent future attacks.
Ajuloopin reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with relevant authorities to restore and sustain peace across Kwara South and neighbouring communities.
He urged residents to stay calm, assuring that both the federal and state governments are making concerted efforts to address the underlying causes of insecurity in the area.
