Miyetti Allah Appeals To KWSG, To Intervene On Closure Of Kara Markets By LG Chaimen
Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria ,MACBAN, Kwara state chapter, has appealed to the state government to urgently intervene on the closure of Kara Market in Kwara South without consultation.
The Chairman of MACBAN in the state,Alhaji Shehu Garba made the appeal in a statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin,
He said the proposed closure of Kara markets in Kwara South by the local government chairman without the knowledge of the traditional rulers, leaders and operators, is not justified.
Alhaji Garba explained that before taking such decisions by the local government chairman wider consultations ought to have been made to carry those concerned along.
He said many traders are unaware of the decision and they are at the Kara markets with their goods engaging in their businesses.
The MACBAN Chairman said closing the Kara markets without prior notice at this time will cripple businesses and add to the economic challenges affecting families in the locality ,the state and the country in general.
Alhaji Garba called for the immediate reversal of the said notice in the interest of justice and fairness.
The chairmen of Ifelodun,Isin,Irepodun,Offa ,Ekiti,Oke-Ero and Oyun local government areas of Kwara South had through a social media publications order the immediate Shutdown of Kara Markets Over Security Concerns.
