Alabi Greets Muslims on Eid Maolud, Calls for Unity, Compassion

Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid Maolud, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In his goodwill message, Dr. Alabi described the day as one of sober reflection on the life and teachings of the Prophet, particularly his humility, justice, compassion, tolerance, and unwavering devotion to Allah.

Quoting the Qur’an, he reminded Muslims of the divine essence of the Prophet’s mission:

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” (Qur’an 21:107)

Dr. Alabi stressed that the Prophet’s noble character remains a guiding light for humanity and urged Muslims to embody his virtues in their daily lives.

He further prayed that the celebration would deepen the faith of the Muslim community, strengthen unity and tolerance among Nigerians, and promote peace, progress, and prosperity in the country.

“Eid Maolud is not just a celebration but a reminder of the values that bind us together as a people. May this blessed occasion inspire us to live by the Prophet’s example and continue to work for the growth and development of our communities and our nation,” he stated.

Dr. Alabi concluded by wishing the Muslim Ummah a joyous and peaceful Eid Maolud celebration.
