Prof. Ibiyemi, Adodo, Pelumi and OJN to Speak at the Third Edition of ZETSI Africa’s Leadership Conference in Abuja
The Zero Tolerance for Social Immoralities Initiative (ZETSI Africa), in collaboration with leading youth and student organizations, has announced the line-up of distinguished speakers for its highly anticipated Leadership Conference 3.0.
The event will take place from August 26th to 28th, 2025, at the University of Abuja and the National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
With the theme “Exploring the Tools of Leadership to Curb the Rising Tide of Social Vices Among Nigerian Students”, the conference will feature keynote addresses and expert sessions led by:
Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University
Comrade Solomon Adodo, President, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN)
Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, Managing Partner, Law Corridor
Hon. Oladele John Nihi (OJN), Special Adviser on Youth and Student Matters to the Executive Governor of Kogi State
Other notable resource persons will be drawn from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, as well as distinguished individual experts.
The three-day programme will bring together over 1,000 youth and student leaders from across Nigeria and Africa, focusing on leadership ethics, civic engagement, crime prevention, campus safety, and strategies to combat vices such as cultism, drug abuse, sexual harassment, cybercrime, and examination malpractice.
According to Amb. Ibrahim Abdulrazak Imam, Chairperson of ZETSI Africa, this year’s edition will go beyond training by launching the Students Against Immoralities Club (SAI-Club) across Nigerian campuses:
> “Leadership Conference 3.0 is not just a training event, it is a movement to build morally upright and value-driven leaders. The inauguration of the SAI-Club will institutionalize our mandate across tertiary institutions, ensuring sustainability in the fight against social vices.”
The event will also feature an Investiture and Awards Ceremony, where deserving individuals and institutions will be honoured for their contributions to youth empowerment, education, and national development.
Expected personalities include government officials, private sector leaders, and civil society champions, all lending support to what has been described as “a national call to action against social vices in Nigerian campuses.”
Strategic partners for Leadership Conference 3.0 include the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement (OSAPSE), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
