AbdulRazaq Backs Tinubu’s 2027 Bid, Hails BUA’s Road Project in Kwara

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, saying the people of Kwara State are satisfied with the administration’s impact and development drive, especially in infrastructure.

Speaking during an inspection tour of the 49-kilometre Eiyenkorin–Afon–Ojoku–Offa–Odo Otin concrete road project on Saturday, the Governor praised the quality and pace of work being carried out by BUA Group under the federal tax credit scheme.

“This road is a testament to the Renewed Hope Agenda. When completed, it will reduce travel time from Ilorin to Offa to just 30 minutes. Who will say ‘no’ to President Tinubu after seeing this level of investment?” AbdulRazaq said.

He commended President Tinubu for sustaining federal road interventions in the state and for his continued support, noting that the infrastructural projects are already yielding benefits across Kwara.

“This is not just a road. It is a statement that the policies of the federal government are working. There is now more money for infrastructure, and the impact is visible on the ground,” he added.

The Governor, accompanied by key state officials including the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Jiddah, and SUBEB Chairman, Prof Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, received updates from the site engineer, Abdulsalam Onaolapo, who assured that the project remains on schedule despite the rainy season.

AbdulRazaq also commended the BUA Group for delivering top-quality work, saying similar standards were evident at other road projects they are handling across the state, including the Bode Sadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road.

“The quality of job being done by BUA is first class. Even in this rainy season, they’re forging ahead. It shows serious commitment and capacity,” he said.

The Governor also visited the Primary Healthcare Centre at Okesho in Asa local government, where renovation works are ongoing, as part of efforts to improve rural healthcare infrastructure.

In addition, he paid condolence visits to the families of the late Daudu Ballah, Alhaji Abdulkadir Kawu Yahya, and attended the Fidau prayer for the former Accountant General of the state, Alhaji Suleiman Bayero.
