LG Election: Olomu Congratulates Emilagba, Aweda, Mogaji
His Royal Highness Oba Muhammed-Yakubu Adebayo Buari, Ilufemiloye II, the
Olomu of Omupo has congratulated indigenes of Omupo that were elected into
various positions in the just concluded 2025 Lagos State Local Government election.
This is contained in a statement personally signed by HRH Oba Buari and made available to newsmen on Monday in Omupo
They are Hon. Jubril Kolawole Emilagba who was elected as the Executive
Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Hon. Aweda Olushola,
Councillor-elect for Ward E, Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area;
and and Hon. Saheed Mogaji Ayinde, Councilor-elect, Ward H, Ajeromi-Ifelodun
Local Government Area.
Olomu Buari, in separate telephone conversations with each of them,
expressed his immense joy and that of all indigenes of Omupo – home and
abroad, and glorify Almighty God for their victory at the poll.
He particularly expressed his believe that the landslide victory of Hon. Emilagba
is a testimony to the love of the electorate for him as well as their recognition
and vote of confidence in his demonstrated passion, over the years, for
community development service and empowerment of the youths in the local
government and beyond.
Olomu Buari told Hon. Shola Aweda and Hon. Mogaji Ayinde that their election
is a clarion call from their constituents to serve them dutifully.
He expressed his confident that two of them will use their expansive experience and knowledge of their areas to deliver on the mandate they received.
Whilst Olomu Buari wished each of them God’s guidance and a successful
tenure of office for them, he prayed that Almighty God will make the new
positions a stepping stone to greater heights and accomplishment.
