Toyin Alabi Lauds Appointment of Hon. Olabanji as NPA Board Member

The recent appointment of Hon. Olayemi Olabanji to the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has been described as a recognition of silent diligence, loyalty, and principled service.

Hon. Olabanji, who serves as the Senatorial Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara South, has received warm commendations from Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi, a prominent public affairs advocate and leadership development voice.

Describing Olabanji as “a bridge between generations” and “a compass in difficult political terrains,” Dr. Alabi hailed the appointment as both timely and deserved.

“We live in a time when loyalty is undervalued and quiet competence is mistaken for passivity. But Hon. Olabanji reminds us that character still counts and that enduring relevance comes from consistency,” Alabi stated.

Olabanji’s political journey has been marked by strategic engagement, party loyalty, and a commitment to strengthening grassroots structures in Kwara South. His behind-the-scenes influence has played a key role in fostering unity within the APC, often placing collective interests above personal ambition.

According to Dr. Alabi, this appointment is not a mere political favour, but a well-earned reward for years of dedicated service.

“This is a reward for believing in the party even in tough times; for being the man who listens, who advises, and who leads from behind,” he remarked.

Alabi further emphasised that the significance of this appointment goes beyond individual recognition.

He noted that Olabanji’s inclusion on the NPA Board provides Kwara South and its people a meaningful presence in national infrastructure development.

“The Nigerian Ports Authority plays a vital role in our country’s economic structure. We are confident that Hon. Olabanji will bring his trademark humility, wisdom, and foresight to this national assignment,” he said.

He concluded his remarks with a broader message about legacy, stressing that Olabanji’s rise is a reminder that honour, patience, and loyalty still have a place in public service.

“We celebrate him not just for what he’s been given, but for what he represents. Kwara is proud. I am proud,” Dr. Alabi said.
