BREAKING:* Moments ago Iran launched missiles at Qatar. Explosions heard in Doha and across the country.

At least six Iranian ballistic missiles have been launched at US bases in the region.

Iran launched a missile attack on a major US airbase in Qatar on Monday evening, a widely expected retaliation for American strikes on three of its nuclear sites a day earlier.

The strikes targeted the Al Udeid air base in Qatar, which is used by local forces as well as American, British and other foreign troops.

White House Clarifies Trump’s “Regime Change” Comments After Iran Strikes.

The White House moved to clarify President Donald Trump’s recent remarks on Iran, after his post on Truth Social sparked speculation that the administration may be backing regime change in Tehran.

“If the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!” (Make Iran Great Again)

The post followed massive U.S. airstrikes that obliterated Iran’s top nuclear enrichment facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The administration described the mission as a precise operation aimed at permanently crippling Iran’s nuclear weapons infrastructure.

At Monday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to concerns about the implications of Trump’s post.

When asked directly by a reporter,

“When the president is floating the idea of regime change, how does he believe that should be accomplished? Through the Iranians, the Israelis, or the Americans?”

Leavitt replied:

“The president’s posture and our military posture has not changed. We just took out their nuclear program on Saturday night, as you all know. But if they refuse to engage in diplomacy moving forward, why shouldn’t the Iranian people rise up against this brutal terrorist regime?”

She emphasized that Trump was not calling for a U.S.-led regime change operation, but was posing a challenge to the Iranian people to confront their oppressive rulers.

In a separate statement posted online, Leavitt reinforced the administration’s position and praised Trump’s leadership:

“America is a much safer place today because of President Trump’s bold action to obliterate the rogue, radical Iranian regime’s nuclear capabilities.

Past Presidents wanted to take this action, but they didn’t have the guts to make the decision. Peace through Strength is back under President Trump.”

The strikes over the weekend mark a significant escalation in U.S.–Iran tensions. In response, Iran launched missiles at U.S. military installations in Qatar and Iraq. While preliminary reports suggest the attacks caused no casualties, the region remains on high alert.

Despite the fiery rhetoric, administration officials have reiterated that the operation’s objective was limited: neutralize the nuclear threat, not orchestrate regime change. Still, Trump’s language—invoking slogans like “Make Iran Great Again” and calling for the Iranian people to rise up—suggests the White House sees potential for political transformation from within.
