Foundation sensitises public to good hygiene, hand washing in Kwara

The WellBeing Foundation Africa (WBFA) has tasked Nigerians to cultivate the habit of regular hand washing and good hygiene to keep off infections and diseases.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that over 70 people from Surulere Community in Olunlade in Ilorin attended the sensitization programme on Friday.
The Data Assistant of WBFA, Mr Benjamin Isehunwa, told NAN that the foundation aimed to propagate hand washing and need for the public to maintain good personal and environmental hygiene.
” We have been propagating the importance of good hygiene in schools, hospitals and Kwara communities.
” We are appealing to the participants to wash their hands with soap regularly and consistently clean their environment .
” By washing your hands regularly and maintaining clean environment, you can preventing germs and common diseases,” he said.
Isehunwa also advised parents to impart the value on their children in order to prepare them for the future.
He said the hygiene quest was opened to every gender to learn as it would prepare them on how to maintain good personal and environmental hygiene.
One of the participants, Alhaji Saheed Ajiyobiojo, the Chief Iman of Ajiyobiojo Central Mosque, Olunlade,Ilorin, commended the foundation for their service and awareness campaign.
Ajiyobiojo described the sensitisation quest as timely and assured that the message would get to community leaders and residents.
He appealed to the participants to key into the lessons learnt by maintaining good hygiene and wash their hands regularly.
NAN reports that the foundation empowered the participants with two pieces of Detol soap each.
