Sen. Sadiq Umar Pays Condolence Visit To Family Of Late Chief Wole Oke in Ilorin, Shao
The Distinguished Senator representing Kwara North at the National Assembly, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar (3SU), on Friday paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the late Chief Stephen Wole Oke at his residences in Ilorin and Shao, Moro Local Government Area.
On arrival, Senator Sadiq was warmly received by a delegation led by Moro 3SU Coordinator, Hon. Olayiwola Oke, alongside political allies, loyalists from across Kwara North, and the state at large.
Speaking during the visit, Senator Sadiq described the late Chief Wole Oke as a distinguished elder statesman, a father figure, and a unifier who lived a life of integrity and service.
He acknowledged the late Chief’s unwavering commitment to peace, justice, and unity in Kwara North and Moro Local Government, noting that his exemplary leadership remains a beacon for many.
“Chief Wole Oke was a pillar of wisdom and decency. His selfless contributions to the development of Kwara North and his dedication to fairness and justice will never be forgotten. I pray that Almighty Allah grants him Aljannah Firdaus and gives his family the strength to bear this loss.”
In addition to visiting the late Chief’s family, Senator Sadiq also paid a condolence visit to the Ohoro of Shao, His Royal Majesty Dr. Job Atolagbe, to commiserate with him on the passing of Chief Wole Oke.
The Senator acknowledged the deep impact the late Chief had on the community and expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the traditional ruler and the people of Shao.
In an appreciation remark on behalf of the family, Hon. Steve Olayiwola Oke expressed gratitude to Senator Sadiq and his entourage for the visit, highlighting the deep love his late father had for Kwara North and his unwavering advocacy for justice in Moro Local Government.
He noted that even in his final days, Chief Wole Oke remained committed to fostering peace and unity in the region. Hon. Oke prayed for the safe return of all guests to their respective destinations.
