Olomu of Omu-Aran, Kwara Speaker Mourn Late Balogun Ajikobi, Hail His Legacy

The Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, Olomu Efon the 2nd has commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, over the passing on of Balogun Ajikobi of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Isiaka Okunrinjeje.
In a condolence message, signed by Olomu himself, Oba Adeoti described the late Balogun Ajikobi as a respected and devoted leader who contributed immensely to the development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole.
The Traditional Ruler prayed that the Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest in aljanat firdaus, comfort and bestow on the family and loved ones he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He also urged the people of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State to take solace in the fact that the late Balogun Ajikobi lived a life worthy of emulation and left behind a legacy that would continue to inspire and guide future generations.
Also, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has expressed profound grief over the passing of Alhaji Isiaka Yusuf Okunrin Jeje, the 12th Balogun Ajikobi of Ilorin Emirate.
In a condolence message issued on Sunday through his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf, Danladi-Salihu described the late Balogun Ajikobi as a revered leader whose wisdom and contributions to the Ilorin Emirate would be sorely missed.
“His demise has left a great vacuum in the Ilorin Emirate. On behalf of the Kwara State House of Assembly, I extend my heartfelt condolences to our father, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ajikobi family, and the entire Ilorin Emirate. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanat Firdaus,” the Speaker stated.
Danladi-Salihu further commiserated with the Ilorin Emirate Traditional Council and the people of Kwara State, acknowledging Alhaji Okunrin Jeje’s role as a custodian of tradition and a unifying figure in the community.
Appointed in 2019 by the Emir of Ilorin, the late Balogun Ajikobi was known for his deep commitment to preserving the emirate’s cultural heritage. His passing marks the end of an era, leaving behind a legacy of service and leadership that will be remembered for generations.
