Unhinged Activists Blame Israel for Deadly Los Angeles Wildfires
Leave it to the unhinged anti-Israel brigade to blame the Jewish state for the catastrophic infernos currently devastating Los Angeles.
Tragically, at least 10 lives have been lost and nearly 180,000 residents have been forced to flee their homes as firefighters are battling five major blazes across Los Angeles County. Yet, while the fires incinerate over 5,000 homes and lay waste to thousands of more infrastructure, professional Israel-haters are busy concocting deranged conspiracy theories.
“When US taxes go to burning people alive in Gaza, we can’t be surprised when those fires come home,” Code Pink wrote on Instagram.
According to the BBC, the Pacific Palisades fire has devoured 20,000 acres and remains 94% uncontained. The crisis has become so severe that UCLA has shut its doors, power outages plague the city, and looters are targeting evacuated neighborhoods. While damages rocket past estimates of $50 billion and the Kenneth fire tears through West Hills, these “activists” persist in their bizarre blame Israel game.
“Instead of putting resources toward making our country livable, our government is putting billions toward Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza,” the New York chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace wrote on X.
Perhaps one of the few voices of sanity left in this circus is Congressman Ritchie Torres, who called out this newest Jewish conspiracy.
“The nature of antisemitism is to scapegoat the Jewish People and the Jewish State for everything wrong in the world—no matter how tenuous the causal connection,” he writes on X. “The modus operandi of antisemitism is slanderous scapegoating: when in doubt, blame the Jews.”
Perhaps these activists might want to focus their energy on actually helping the situation. But that would require engaging with reality, which is clearly not their strong suit.
