Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has said that the stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are moving to resolve the crisis rocking the party once and for all.

Mohammed stated this in Bauchi on Friday when the embattled acting National Chairman of the party, Illiya Damagum paid him a courtesy visit.

Mohammed said “we have agreed and discussed extensively with the acting National Chairman and we have resolved to work together with other organs of the party like the Board of Trustee, members of the governors forum, the caucus of the Senate at the House to resolve all these issues.

“That is the major takeaway of this visit that henceforth, we will deepen stake holding, collaboration so that all these issues that are disparaging the members of the party would be resolved and nipped in the bud.

“We have decided that henceforth, we will not allow a gap and we will make sure that we resolve all these issues.

“We are not recognising any faction, we are together as a body and definitely at the end of the day, we will resolve all issues.

“No faction in the PDP. We may have problems, we may have political hiccups but certainly, we have a way of coming back to stop our problems and challenges and making sure that we have a common front”.

Mohammed, who is the Chairman, PDP Governors Forum explained that he would consult with other governors on the next line of action.

He assured that the party would come together and resolve all the contending issues so as to take back the lost glory of the party and triumph in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking, Illiya Damagum, said he came on a friendly visit and to discuss so many things about the party with the governor.

He said that Mohammed has expressed commitment to continue to strengthen the party so as to have one united party.

“I want to use this opportunity to tell Nigerians that PDP is a brand and the only surviving party since 1999.

“We have tasted so much turbulence and we came out of it strongly and today, we are reorganizing and uniting ourselves to make sure that come 2027, we will take what rightly belongs to us”. He said.
