AbdulRazaq, Abiodun declare Monday Holiday For Kwara, Ogun Teachers
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has approved Monday October 7, 2024 as a public holiday for teachers in the state — a gesture in honour of the World Teachers’ Day (WTD).
This is contained in a statement signed by Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, Hon. Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.
The Governor again commends the teachers for what they do to advance human progress through quality teaching and nurturing of minds.
“The Governor directs that this holiday be enjoyed by teachers in the public and private sector as a mark of appreciation for what they do,” according to a statement by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu.
“He wishes them a blessed holiday.”
Also, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has declared Monday, October 7, 2024, as a work-free day for teachers in the state.
This is in commemoration of this year’s Teachers’ Day in the state.
Hence, schools within the state are expected to resume academic activities on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
