Iran had also cancelled all flights until 10:00 AM on Wednesday due to the situation in the region, State-affiliated Tasnim News Agency reports.
Iran took a significant risk tonight beyond just launching an attack on Israel. By failing to issue a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for their western airspace before the attack, several commercial airliners were placed in close proximity to ballistic missile launches. One such incident involved a passenger who captured footage of multiple launches from the IRGC’s South Shiraz Missile Base.
The footage was accompanied by the following quote: “Filmed from the flight deck of an airliner near Shiraz, Iran. No warning from ATC, who were unaware. The aircraft was diverted immediately.”
The IDF announced it conducted an operation overnight in Hebron to survey the homes of the Arab terrorists responsible for last night’s deadly shooting and stabbing in Jaffa, in preparation for potential demolitions.
The attack on Tel Aviv’s light rail and a nearby road in Jaffa resulted in the deaths of seven people, with 16 others injured, including a severely wounded off-duty IDF soldier.
Several suspects accused of helping the terrorists acquire the assault rifle and cross into Israel were detained for questioning.
The military and Shin Bet are continuing to investigate how the terrorists entered Israel. Hebron, the terrorists’ hometown, has been placed under closure by the IDF.
One terrorist was killed during the incident, and the other is in serious condition. Investigators noted that one of the terrorists worked in the vicinity, providing familiarity with the area.
The IDF has shared new footage of the 98th Division conducting operations in southern Lebanon since launching a ground offensive on Monday night.
According to the military, the division has been involved in intense close-quarters combat with Hezbollah fighters while coordinating airstrikes on militants and their strongholds.
In a recent mission, the Egoz commando unit destroyed a Hezbollah position, which included a rocket launcher and an explosives cache, the IDF reports.
The military also noted that over 150 Hezbollah sites have been targeted by Israeli airstrikes during the ongoing operations.
