Onyeka Onwenu Laid to Rest in Lagos (PHOTOS)

Nigerian music icon, Onyeka Onwenu, has been buried in Lagos. The “Elegant Stallion” died on July 30, 2024, at the age of 72.

The funeral service was held at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.

Onwenu was a gifted musician, broadcaster, actress, politician, and activist.

She is survived by her two sons. Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, and Abia state governor, Alex Otti, were among those who attended the burial.
