Hezbollah claims to have launched over 320 rockets and several explosive drones at northern Israel in the past few hours.

In a statement, the group says it targeted 11 military bases in the region.

Earlier, Hezbollah announced that these actions are in retaliation for the killing of its military commander, Fuad Shukr, in an IDF strike last month.

Hezbollah’s statement does not address the IDF’s preemptive strikes from this morning.

The entire IDF high command is in the Kirya’s underground command center tonight, with the Chief of Staff personally and directly overseeing the strikes.

Air Force patrols, guided by intelligence, are responsible for the warnings and identification of Hezbollah’s launch intentions.

Dozens of fighter jets have struck in southern Lebanon in the past hour and continue to carry out attacks.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has declared a 48-hour emergency situation nationwide.

This “special situation on the home front” grants the IDF Home Front Command the authority to impose restrictions.

Reports say that one Israeli soldier was killed in Hezbollah’s attack this morning.

Sgt. David Moshe Ben Shitrit, 21-year-old First Sergeant from Geva Binyamin, was killed Sunday morning when shrapnel from an interceptor missile struck his Israel Navy Dvora-class fast patrol boat near the coast of Nahariya.
