Kwara Govt Renovates Sewage System at NYSC Orientation Camp
The Kwara State government has commenced a comprehensive renovation of the sewage system at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to improving the camp’s infrastructure.
The NYSC State Coordinator for Kwara, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa Joshua, praised Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for consistently fulfilling promises made to the NYSC in the state.
He noted that the state government has been responsive to the needs of the NYSC, ensuring that necessary improvements are made.
The renovation work includes the overhaul of faulty septic tanks, water reticulation into hostels, the laying of tiles, replacement of broken pipes, and repairs to existing bathrooms.
Mr. Onifade highlighted the timeliness of the project, which comes just days before the commencement of the 2024 Batch B, Stream 2 orientation course.
Approximately 1,960 prospective corps members are expected to participate in the upcoming orientation in the state, and Mr. Onifade assured that the camp is now well-prepared to accommodate them comfortably.
