Olomu of Omu-Aran Warns Against Unauthorised Protests, Urges Peaceful Coexistence
The Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, has issued a stern warning against unauthorized protests in Omu-Aran.
This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday through the community’s spokesman, Olayinka Owolewa, Oba Adeoti made it clear that no individual or group has received permission to hold any protest in the community on Thursday, August 1, or any other date.
The traditional ruler emphasized that while citizens have the right to protest, it is important to allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu some time to address current issues.
He praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his efforts in developing the state and urged residents to support his administration, highlighting the need to maintain the peaceful atmosphere in Omu-Aran.
Oba Adeoti, as the custodian of peace in the community, stressed his commitment to preserving the harmony currently enjoyed in Omu-Aran.
He warned that any unauthorized gatherings or demonstrations could disrupt the community’s peace and would be dealt with accordingly.
The Olomu called on all citizens and visitors to continue living in peace and to avoid actions that might jeopardize the community’s tranquility.
He expressed appreciation for the cooperation of all stakeholders in upholding tthelaw and peace of Omu-Aran land.
