Kwara Govt Embarks on Massive Infrastructure to Boost Economy – Gov. AbdulRazaq

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq of kwara says his administration is embarking on a massive infrastructure development across the state to boost the economy of the state.

Gov. AbdulRasaq stated this at the twenty-sixth annual Dinner/Lecture organized by the Ilorin Emirate Third Estate held at Banquet Hall opposite, Government House Ilorin on Monday.

The Governor, who was represented by the state Commissioner for Solid Mineral, Dr Afeez Abolore, said the ongoing massive infrastructure is part of its fulfilment of its mandate to the people.

Governor AbdulRazaq added that his administration had done so much in human capital development and calling on Third Estate to partner with the state government to fast track more development in the state.

In his remarks, the Guest speaker on the occasion, Dr Abdulwahab Lanre-Olumo called on Ilorin indigenes to look inward by establishing their businesses in Ilorin rather than outside the state for the growth of the Ilorin and state at large.

Dr Lanre-Olumo appreciated Governor AbdulRahman for creating an enabling environment for businesses to strive in the state.

Also speaking, a professor of History, Prof. Ibrahim Jawondo stressed the need for parents to train their children to be useful to the society rather than tarnish the image of their family.

The President Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji AbdulMumin Ayo-AbdulMalik commended the Third Estate for development of the emirate and promised to collaborate with them to accelerate more development

Earlier, the President Ilorin Emirate Third Estate, Alhaji Ibrahim Toyin-Hassan said the third Estate is a sociocultural group aimed at engaging in developmental programmes.
