ECWA Cleric Hails Nigerian Masses on Democracy Day

A Cleric with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Dr. Joseph Agboluaje, has hailed the Nigerian masses on the occasion of the Country’s 25 years of unbroken democracy.

In a statement to commemorate the milestone and Democracy Day Rev. Agboluaje, acknowledged the struggles and sacrifices of those who fought for Nigeria’s freedom and democratic participation.

While celebrating the country’s democratic progress, Rev. Agboluaje who is the Executive Secretary of ECWA Fate Tanke DCC also drew attention to the challenges facing the nation.

“Many of us struggle with poverty, lack of access to basic amenities like healthcare, education, and clean water. We face insecurity, corruption, and inequality,” he noted.

Despite these challenges, Rev. Agboluaje expressed hope in Nigeria’s potential and the goodness of its people to weather the storm and come out stronger.

He called on the federal, state, and local governments to listen to the voices of the masses, feel their pains, and act with urgency to address their needs.

Specifically, Rev. Agboluaje urged the government to provide jobs, infrastructure, and economic opportunities, as well as quality healthcare and education and also emphasized the need for security, justice, transparency, and accountability.

Furthermore, the Cleric advocated for the autonomy of local governments in the Nigerian federal system, which he believes is essential for the development of rural areas and the wellbeing of rural dwellers.

“Let us work together to build a Nigeria that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all,” Rev. Agboluaje said. “A Nigeria where every citizen has a voice, a chance, and a future.”

In conclusion, Rev. Agboluaje thanked the masses for their resilience and commitment to democracy. “May God bless Nigeria!” he prayed.
