Bauchi Govt, Firm to Establish 10 Million Capacity Cement Factory

The Bauchi state government has partnered with Resident Factory Limited to establish a 10 million capacity cement factory in Gwana district of Alƙaleri Local Government Area of the state.

The partnership agreement was made at the government house when Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state received a delegation from the cement factory to finalise the Modalities.

Speaking after the meeting, Mohammed stated that the proposed agreement was inline with his administration’s commitment towards unbundling the available Natural Resources in the state to generate more revenue as well as Job opportunities.

According to him, the establishment of the Cement Factory was coming at a time when the state government was determined to provide the needed human capital that could participate fully in Oil and Gas exploration .

He explained that efforts were on top gear to secure more fund to settle compensation to land owners in Alƙaleri Local Government as the area has been declared as industrial zone of the State and for the North-East Region.

The governor assured the investors of the Security of their investment and described Bauchi state as the most peaceful state in the North-East.

Earlier, The leader of the delegation who is the Group Chairman, Resident Cement Factory Limited, Dr. Abbas Waziri, said about 10,000 people have been targeted to be employed in the factory when established in addition to revenue generation to the state.
