Eid-el Fitr: FRSC deploys 970 personnel, equipment for special patrol operations in Kwara

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Kwara State Command has again deployed Nine Hundred and Seventy Personnel for the Eid-el Fitr Special Patrol Operations in Kwara State.
In statement brief by the Sector Commander Corps Commander Stephen Dawulung on Sunday, the Special Patrol Operations is to commence from Monday 8 to Saturday 13 April 2024 with the aim of containing the surge in road traffic and its encumbrances towards ensuring that motorists and all road users in Kwara State enjoy free and safe traffic flow during the Sallah celebrations.
Towards this end the Sector Commander has confirmed the deployment of Forty two (42) patrol vehicles, two(2) power bikes, Four (4) Ambulances, Four (4) medium Private tow trucks and One 70 ton tow-truck which will be stationed along all major highways and other gridlock prone spots within Kwara State.
In addition to Enforcement, the special operations will also focus on the intensification of purposeful public enlightenment, prompt removal of obstructions, traffic control as well as prompt response to Road traffic crashes, for which 24 hour rescue teams are being stationed at all Commands in Kwara State.
