Gov AbdulRazaq Calls For Prayers, Peaceful Coexistence Among Kwara Residents

 

The Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has emphasized the need for prayers and peaceful co-existence among the people to ensure progress and development of the State and the Nation.

Governor Abdulrazaq who made the call in his message while addressing the Congregation before the commencement of the Palm Sunday procession at Saint Barnabas Cathedral, Sabo-Oke, Ilorin Charged the people to embrace peace, loving and understanding.

Governor Abdulrazaq who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Religion Matters, Christian Affairs, Reverend Timothy Akangbe said government would not relent in meeting the need of the people.

He admonished the people to continue to support and pray for the government stressing that it would not discriminate or encourage bias in whatever form.

The Governor noted that Palm Sunday is part of Christian journey and triumphal entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem calling on Christians to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ.

Also speaking, the Acting Baba Aladura, C & S World wide, Prophet Peter Adeleke admonished Nigerians to be humble and care for others.

Prophet Adeleke noted that God owns the people urging them to be willing to surrender to His authority.

In his view, the Bishop of Methodist Church, Kwara Diocese, Right Reverend Joseph Oshifuwa stressed the need for peace, justice, equity and unity among the people.

Bishop Oshifuwa noted that the marking of Palm Sunday signify victory and love for all.
