Kwara Gov, NAWOJ, SWAN NOA Mourn Veteran Journalist, Bashir Jimoh

 

 

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the media fraternity in the state on the death of former chairman of the Radio Kwara chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Alhaji Bashir Ademola Jimoh.

In a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Rafiu Ajakaye on Monday, the Governor expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, the NUJ, colleagues and associates of the journalist who retired from Radio Kwara a few weeks ago.

The Governor asked Allah to admit the deceased to al-Jannah Firdaus and to comfort and guide his family through this difficult phase.

Bashir Ademola Jimoh, a veteran journalist, mentor, and retired staff of Radio Kwara, embodied the essence of journalistic integrity and professionalism throughout his illustrious career. His unwavering commitment to truth and dedication to storytelling left an indelible mark on the field of journalism.

Throughout his career, he served as a mentor to countless aspiring journalists, sharing his wisdom and guiding them along their professional journey. His legacy as a mentor will endure.

Kwara State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has also expressed shock over the Death of Mr Bashiru Jimoh, a retired Staff of Radio Kwara.

The Association Commiserate with the Radio Kwara Staff, NUJ Family and the Immediate Family of the Deceased.

Mr Bashiru Jimoh was a Jovial and Friendly Gentleman who will be remembered as a Thorough and Professional Bred Journalist.
In a statement signed by Chairperson Ayobola Ipinlaiye and Secretary Ganiyat Adedeji prayed Almighty God to Rest his Soul and Continue to be with the Family he left behind.

The Leadership of the Kwara State chapter of the Sports writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, has joined other sympathizers in commiserating with the Management of Radio Kwara, Kwara Council of NUJ and RATTAWU over the death of an Ijagbo born astute journalist, Alhaji Jimoh Ademola Bashir who died in the early hours of Sunday.

SWAN in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Ayodeji Ismail and Secretary, Dare Kuti described the deceased as an ambassador of peace and core professional.

“We received the death of our senior colleague and father, Alhaji Bashir Ademola as a rude shock, very devastating and a collosal loss not only to his immediate family but to the entire pen pushers fraternity in the state”

“Alhaji Ademola died at a time when his fatherly role is highly needed, the vacuum created by his death would be difficult to fill, the statement added”

SWAN Pray Allah to grant him eternal rest and give his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The Nigerian Union of Journalists Sobi FM Chapel has condoled with the Nigeria Union of Journalist Kwara Council and Radio Kwara Chapel over the death of its former chairman Alhaji Bashir Jimoh.

In a statement by the Secretary of the chapel Hameedah Oladimeji-Kolawole the chapel expressed its shock over the sudden death of the cerebral broadcaster and veteran journalist who contributed immensely to the growth of the profession in Kwara state.

The chapel beseeched Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Al janat Fridaos and also give the family, friends, and the entire pen profession in Kwara state the fortitude to bear the loss.

NUJ Kwara TV Chapel has described the death of Former Chairman of NUJ Radio Kwara Chapel, Mr Bashiru Jimoh as Shocking and Sad.

The chapel commiserate with the Radio Kwara Staff, NUJ Family and the Immediate Family of the Deceased.

In a statement signed by the Chairman Bolaji Gobir and Secretary Ganiyat Adedeji prayed Almighty God to continue to be with the family he left behind and rest his soul.

Also, Federal Information Chapel of NUJ mourns the passage of the former Chairman of NUJ Radio Kwara Chapel, Mr Bashir Jimoh

In statement signed by the Chairman of the Chapel Oladiji O. David and Secretary
Aina Blessing said “In his lifetime, he was an easy going journalist with notable contributions to the Union. Our condolences to Radio Kwara Chapel and the State Council of NUJ.

May God rest his soul and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, Amen.”

The Nigerian Union of Journalists NOA Chapel has also condoled with the Nigeria Union of Journalist Kwara Council and Radio Kwara Chapel over the death of its former chairman of the Alhaji Bashir Jimoh.

In a statement signed and issued by the Acting Secretary Comrade Kolapo Ayinla, the chapel expressed its shock over the sudden death of the erudite broadcaster and veteran journalist who in no measure has contributed positively to the development of journalism in Kwara state.

The chapel seek supplication to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Al janat Firdaus and also give the family, friends, and the entire pen profession in Kwara state the fortitude to bear the loss.
