Edo 2024: PDP Clears Shaibu, Nine Other Aspirants For Primaries
The Peoples Democratic Party has cleared Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu and nine other aspirants for primary election ahead of Edo 2024 governorship election.
The PDP Screening Committee, headed by Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang on Monday screened 10 Aspirants to participate in the party’s primary election scheduled for February 22.
The aspirants for Edo 2024 were screened at PDP National headquarters, Abuja.
Governor Mutfwang after the screening reassured the aspirants that the party would ensure fairness for all contestants.
He emphasised the PDP’s commitment to winning the Edo governorship poll.
On Tuesday, the PDP National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, while briefing newsmen said all the 10 aspirants were cleared for the primary election.
Other PDP aspirants are Asue Ighodalo, Blessing Igbinedion, Anselm Ojezua, Felix Akhabue, Martin Uhomoibhi, Umoru Hadizat, Osaro Onaiwu, Arthur Esene and Omoregie Ihama.
