Yahaya Bello’s Posters Flood Abuja, Moves to Replace Ganduje

Barely 48-hour after his handing over to Governor Usman Ododo, posters of the former governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, have flooded strategic places, streets, including the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The posters are signaling Bello’s interest to become the National Chairman of the ruling party, the position currently held by the former governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, from the North-west.

Ganduje replaced former governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Adamu, who is from the North-central.

Our Correspondent who drove round the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Monday saw the posters at the Federal Secretariat area, Wuse 11 area, where the APC National Secretariat is located among other places.

Our Correspondent also observed that most of the posters posted at the APC National Secretariat were already torned.

A chieftain of the party, who pleaded anonymity, said stakeholders from the North-central were of the opinion that the zone should have produced Abdullahi Adamu’s replacement instead of former governor Ganduje from the North-west.

The source said: Bello’s move is an attempt to bring back the chairmanship seat to the region, and it is believed he has the backing of several stakeholders in the North-central.”
