UNILORIN Is Safe As Management Dismisses Abduction Rumours

The management of the University of Ilorin has viewed with grave concern last weekend’s story about one of its students, Moyosore Bright, a 100L student of Zoology, Faculty of Life Sciences.

This is contained in a statement signed by Kunle Akogun, Director, Corporate Affairs of the University and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

It is important to state that the said student is hale and hearty, and her purported abduction was a ruse and figment of the imagination of the rumour mongers.

The management further assures the public that its campus is safe for learning, research, and community service in pursuit of its tripartite mandate.

The management, herefore, urged the public to rely on only credible information and assures all students, parents, and stakeholders that the campus is still safe.

TThe university also appealed for caution against the unabated and continuing spread of unfounded rumours with a reassurance of its commitment to the welfare and safety of all members of the university community.
