Kwara State Fire Service Urges Residents To prioritize Safety
The Director of Kwara State Fire Service Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa has advised residents of the kwara at large to prioritize safety.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Hassan Adekunle, the Head of Department, Media and Publicity, Kwara State Fire Service and made available to newsmen in Ilorin on Tuesday.
According to him, the director urged the general public to be more careful in their day-to-day activities.
He gave the advice while responding to the effort of the Kwara State Fire Service in preventing a major damage by fire at Sapati centre zone community, behind Sapati International School Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government Area Kwara State.
“On Monday January 22nd, 2024, at 16:17 hours [04:17pm] the Kwara State Fire Service swiftly responded to a fire incident at Sapati centre zone, behind Sapati international school Ilorin.
“Upon arrival, the firemen found the building ablaze and immediately began firefighting efforts to contain and extinguish the flames, showcasing their expertise to prevent extensive damage in a building of about 3bedroom flats.
“Investigation revealed an unidentified person had set an undergrowth on fire, which then spread to the building.
“Fortunately, no live was lost, and no injury was recorded, ” he said.
The Director of Kwara State Fire Service took this opportunity to advise the kwara at large to prioritize safety also urged the general public to be more careful in their day-to-day activities.
