Real Estate Agency Empowers Secondary School Students in Kwara State

As part of Cooperate Social Responsibility, a Real Estate Agency in Kwara, Quick Access Macro and Micro Limited, has champion the course of education with sponsorships and awards of cash prices.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the agency gave three best Students of the popular St Anthony Junior Secondary School, N100,000 cash award to encourage excellence and greater performance.

The students, who bagged cash award are; Opaleke Emmanuel , Onovo Juliet and Ifunaya Chukwu whom have excelled above others in Mathematics, Business Studies, and Basic Technology at the St Anthony Junior Secondary School, Ilorin.

Speaking with this medium, the CEO of the Quick Access, Mr. Yinka Ojo who was represented by the company’s Chief Operating office (COO), Mrs. Adeola Ojo, revealed the need for individuals to support government and ensure that the education system in the country is improved.

According to her, the company’s CEO has once benefited from the Federal Government scholarship which enabled him to graduate from the University in 2002, saying he’s trying to reciprocate the gesture and give back to the society.

She stressed further that the challenge facing the education section in Nigeria cannot be addressed by a single person but a collaborative efforts that requires adequate deliberation on a round table.

She said the society becomes a terrible place when children get it wrong from their elementary stage, adding that Quick Access is trying to lay a strong foundation for the children to survive and excel in life.

“If these children can get it right, success is sure for them in their future;  we’re trying to encourage them that education pays and that they should try and do well.” she said.

She also claim that the gesture will not stop at St. Anthony school but continue even to other institutions, saying it’s a project Quick Access has embarked upon with a view to better the lives of many.

For his part, Comrade Abdulrauf Asude, the Education Secretary, Ilorin East, commended the state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for investing in education through various programmes he has initiated.

He therefore called on private individuals to take a clue from Quick Access and sponsor education of children who are financially challenged.

The Principal of St. Antony, Mrs Olarewaju Tayo, appreciated Quick Access for chosing her school to benefit the rare gesture, promising that she will continue to ensure that the students get the best education.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Segun Erika, Head Site Management and Acquisition, expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and his deputy, Kayode Alabi, for fostering a business-friendly environment in Kwara.
