Kwara State Fire Service Saves Shops From Scathefire

 

Kwara State Fire Service on Monday at Emir’s Palace Road in Ilorin Saved some shops from Scathefire.

This is contained in a statement signed by Hassan Adekunle,  the Head of Department, Media and Publicity,  Kwara State Fire Service and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

According to him,  the incident occurred on Monday, 4th of December, 2023 at about 03:48 hours (03:48 AM) at Emir’s shops, opposite Olusola Saraki market, ita-Amon Ilorin, Ilorin West Local government area Kwara state.

“The Brigade got to know of the fire incident through the Running call done by one anonymous person living very close to the scene of occurrence.

“Firemen were able to eliminate the ravaging fire on time, and out of the 23 shops in the building only 3 shops were affected by burning fire.

“The cause of the fire was due to the power surge.”

Therefore, the Director, of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa has urged the general public to always play safe especially during this period and not to hesitate to call the fire brigade on time whenever there is any fire emergency in their areas, as this would save lives and properties of people in the state.
