Olomu of Omupo, Oba Adebayo Buari, ODU Hail Appointment of Dr Salau as Special Adviser To Gov AbdulRazaq
His Royal Highness, Olomu of Omupo, Oba Yakub Adebayo Buari, Omupo Descendant Union (ODU) and the entire people of Omupo hereby appreciate His Excellency, Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for finding our daughter, Dr Adetola Ariyike Salau worthy of an appointment as the Special Adviser on Education.
In a congratulatory message and letter of appreciation to the governor, the Royal Father and ODU jointly signed by the national president, Dr Monisoye Sola Afolabi, and the Secretary-General, Alhaji Bashiru Idris, expressed confidence in the ability of Salau to turn around things for consolidation of better achievements.
Dr Salau was appointed by the governor with a special focus on policy development in the critical sector.
Dr Salau is an indigene of Omupo, Ifelodun Local Government Area. She is a renowned education policy expert with specialisation in Sciences, Technology and Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) – an area in which she has published several books and articles, including ‘STEM is key’ – a resource book for understanding and deploying STEM education; STEM activities in Algebra, Geometry and personal finance; and STEM activities for primary and junior secondary schools.
She was until May 29, 2023, a Senior Special Assistant on Education to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Dr Salau holds a doctoral degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and the Science of Learning from the University of Buffalo, State University of New York. Her first degree was from Fordham University, where she was the best graduating student, while she had her master’s degree from Syracuse University.
The entire people of Omupo land communicated their gratitude to the governor and wished him success in his second term.
The traditional ruler and ODU expressed delight over the appointment of Dr Salau into the exalted office of the special adviser on education to the state governor.
The community commended Governor AbdulRazaq for finding the renowned education expert worthy of the appointment and pledged its unflinching support for Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration in its bid to take Kwara to an enviable level.
