Kwara Speaker Mourns Patigi-born Comedian, Baba Usman.

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly Rt Hon Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has described the death of Alhaji Usman Baba Patigi popularly known as Samanja as a colossal loss to the creative industry.

This is contained in a statement signed by Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf, mnipr, the
CPS to the Rt Hon. Speaker, KWHA. on Sunday and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

Rt. Hon. Engr. Danladi-Salihu, who described Baba Usman as an industrious prince of Patigi,  who made exploits in the movie industry commiserated with the deceased family, Patigi Emirate, and the entire entertainment industry across the length and breadth of the country.

“We received with a rude shock, the news of the passage of Alhaji Baba Usman popularly known as Samanja, the memory of the late movie actor would continue to linger as one of the most famous comedians Nigeria ever produced, he would be sorely missed”, the Speaker noted in a statement.

The Speaker sent condolences to the Samanja family, Patigi Emirate, fans, and lovers of the late comic actor and the entertainment industry and prayed to Allah to give the thespian all his shortcomings and admit him into Aljanat Fridaos.
