NSCDC Recover and Handover Stolen Vehicle To Owner

The Kwara State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Commandant Umar J.G Mohammed has handed over a recovered stolen vehicle with chassis number No. 2TIBR3E67C846903 to the owner.

This is contained in a statement signed by SC Ayeni Olasunkanmi,  the Public Relations Officer,  NSCDC,  Kwara State Command in Ilorin.

He said that the vehicle was intercepted by the officer of the command when the suspect was trying to sell the car within the Ilorin metropolis.

The suspect allegedly offered to sell the car for 800,000 (Eight hundred thousand naira) whereas the current market price of the car was said to be between N4.5 to N5 million naira.

The offer became suspicious that the intended buyer alerted the officers who intercepted the car but the suspect went at large when he discovered that the intended buyer was up to something.

The car was taken to the state headquarters where it was later handed over to the owner who came from Kaduna.

According to Alfred Hassan who earlier reported the case at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Nigeria Police Force, Kaduna on the 23rd of October 2023.

“The suspect is said to have visited Alfred Motors Nigeria Limited in the pretence that he wanted to buy the car.

He was allowed to drive the car for testing and from there, he absconded with the car.
