Suspected Kidnappers Kill One, Abduct Two in Kwara Community

One child was killed and two persons were abducted when gunmen suspected to be kidnappers struck at Ora community, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara state on Saturday.

The kidnap incident reportedly occurred at about 8.45 p.m.

The kidnappers allegedly killed one child, abducted two women and injured scores in the bloody operation.

Meanwhile, soldiers were deployed to the area on Saturday night for a search and rescue operation for the kidnap victims.

They are still combing the bushes in the community to fish out the suspects and rescue the victims.

The spokesman of the state police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed this in Ilorin on Sunday, said a combined team of police, soldiers and other security agents were now in the area to rescue the victims.
