Sen. Sadiq Umar Pledges More Dividends of Democracy to Kwara North 

The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Umar has assured the people of his constituency of his determination to bring more dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.

Senator Umar who represents, Moro, Patigi, Edu, Kaiama and Baruten local government areas of Kwara state, at the 10th national assembly gave the assurance while speaking at the 39th media Parliament of the NUJ Kwara Council held at the press Centre in Ilorin.

He said the area he represents covers about seventy per cent of the land mass in the state.

Senator Sadiq explained that efforts are being put in place to ensure that the infrastructure deficit in the area is taken care of.

He said in the last four years of the ninth assembly he had sponsored about twenty-five bills.

Senator Sadiq noted that bills are responsible for supporting the provision of institutions that will aid development in the state and the country in general.

He maintained that during the period he built ten classrooms and provided scholarships for three hundred students from primary to postgraduate level.
