Kwara State Fire Service Recovers Body From Domestic Well In Ilorin (Photo)

Kwara State Fire Service on Tuesday recovered a body who fell into a domestic well and died behind Global Primary and Secondary School, Bayi Community Egbejila area,  Ilorin.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Hassan Adekunle,  Head of Department,  Media and Publicity, Kwara State Fire Service in Ilorin on Tuesday.

Today, Tuesday 5th September 2023, a man of about 43 years old called. Mr. Abdulqadir Muritala from opposite Oniguguru Compound Oko-erin Area Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government Area Kwara State, fell into a domestic well and recovered died at Behind Global Primary andSe condary school, Bayi Community Egbejila area Ilorin.

The terrible incident occurred this morning about 10:30AM (10:30hrs) and the Brigade was Summoned through an exchange Telephone call by One Mr David Living in that neighbourhood.

However, Firemen were able to recover the dead body from the well and later handed it over to one Mohammed Abdulwasiu, a family member of the deceased.

According to the report, the victim men went to re-dredging domestic well and during the process of dredging one of his legs suddenly slipped off the ground and eventually tumbled down into the well.

Therefore,  Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, expressed his Sadness over the incident and urged the general public to be more careful in their day-to-day activities and they should desist from sending under Age children to fetch water in domestic well.
