10-Player Super Falcons, Canada Draw 0-0 During 2023 World Cup

The Nigerian female national football team, Super Falcons, kicked start it’s 2023 world cup journey with a goalless draw against Olympic champions, Canada, despite ending the match with one man down.

With the draw, the Falcons now sit third on the table behind Canada, who they share same points with, and Australia that currently tops the table with three points following their 1-0 victory against Republic of Ireland.

During the game played on Friday, the Canadians had the opportunity of taking the lead from the penalty spot but the ball was saved by the Nigerian goalkeeper, Chaimaka Nnadozie, to ensure that the game remain goalless.
