20 Persons Feared Trapped, As 4-storey Hotel Collapses In Abuja
A four-storey building of a hotel in Dape, Life Camp, Abuja has just collapsed, trapping more than 20 people, according to eyewitnesses at the site.
The incident, which occurred at about 4 pm on Monday, while workers were on the construction site.
The building, whichh was under construction as of the time of the collapse, is said to be owned by one of the top hotels in the territory.
According to an eyewitnesses, the hotel which had an underground facility had no fewer than 20 persons trapped.
As of the time of this report, emergency responders and security personnel were being mobilised to the site.
A rescue team from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is already at the scene to commence rescue operations.
