FG, NLC Set To Meet Over Fuel Subsidy Removal

The Federal Government, and the Leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), will, on Wednesday afternoon meet by 2pm to discuss the planned removal of fuel subsidy.

NLC President, Joe Ajaero, made the disclosure during an interview with newsmen in Abuja.

Choicereporters recall that President Bola Tinubu, during his inaugural speech announced that fuel subsidy would be removed.

Meanwhile, a circular on new price index of Petroleum across the country is being circulated in the media. However, there is no official statement from the Petroleum industry and regulatory agency yet on the official price.

Since yesterday most fuel stations have refused to dispense fuel, while few dispensing are selling above the official price with attendant long queues in some cities across the country.
