Labour Institute Collaborates With NPC For Success
The Michael Imodu National Institute for Labour Studies, Ilorin is partnering with the National Population Commission to ensure and enhance productivity of the forthcoming National and Housing Census across the country.
At an interactive session jointly held by the leadership of both bodies, held in Ilorin, the Director General of the Institute, Mr. Issa Aremu said the partnership will assist the Commission to engage more people in the exercise.
Comrade Aremu, while appreciating the leadership of NPC for its firm commitment to the exercise, said with the collaboration will lead to an increase in inputs of the production process.
In his contribution, the National Chairman, National Population Commission, Alhaji Nasir Isa Kwara said the proposed census will be fully digitalized and urged everybody to be involved in the exercise.
He disclosed that every local governments in Kwara state has been demarcated for the exercise and about ninety-four percent had been captured across the Country, saying the part that are yet to capture was due to insecurity of the areas.
The National Chairman however commended the leadership of the Michael Imoudu Institute for their focus and determination towards productivity of Nigeria Labour.
Other speakers encouraged the NPC to ensure due process before, during and after the whole exercise.
The NPC national executives led by it Chairman, Alhaji Nasir Isa Kwara and the State Federal Commissioner, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Folorunsho Gidado had earlier visited the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for the royal blessings.
